But the home team fought back in the second quarter as the rookie rushed for two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the back of the endzone midway through the third period to make it 21 to 7

"It was a crucial moment for him stepping up, and it's been great for him to keep gaining experience," Maye said of Henderson. "He wants to be excellent."

Fields threw to Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to reduce the lead for the visitors but Borregales kicked a two kicks in the final period as the home side sealed the victory
