The Music Icon Portrays a Hell Version of Herself in Mockumentary Preview

The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.

Within the project, Charli embodies what she calls as a hell version of her own persona.

It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the performer remarked.

She elaborated in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept stemmed from the demand to produce one.

A Glimpse into The Moment

The debut trailer, unveiled on this week, combines authentic footage from her recent tour with fictionalized behind-the-scenes moments.

The mockumentary is directed and co-written by the director, who revealed that the plot revolves around a world where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

This project is just one of several forthcoming screen roles for the musician, who recently featured in three cinematic festival entries in the current year.

She also played herself in the comedy series Overcompensating.

Future Ventures

The coming year will also feature Charli together with Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

Additionally, she signed on to star in the actress’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

I’m deeply appreciating my acting journey, the performer stated. I’m incredibly motivated right now in acting, and I solely want to do projects that excite me.

Soundtrack Involvement

The month of February will also see the launch of the director’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from the singer.

She will also compose the score for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.

The film will be released on January 30.
