Power Outages Affect Thousands These attacks come after multiple days of identical assaults that have caused blackouts and structural damage in Belgorod city and nearby regions. Approximately forty thousand people were influenced by energy disruptions across multiple districts, as reported by official statements. Larger Picture of Hostilities Ukrainian forces have significantly escalated the volume of assaults directed at Russia's fuel processing facilities in recent months, sparking fuel shortages and price rises in some parts of the country. No fewer than twenty-one of the nation's key petroleum plants - at locations transforming oil into usable fuel like gasoline and diesel fuel - have been attacked in recent months, almost half again as many as during the whole of 2024. Continuing Conflict Simultaneously, hostile actions by Russia toward Ukraine are persisting. Ukraine's air force stated during midweek its defences shot down or disabled 154 drones, but multiple reached destinations in eleven sites. Debris from intercepted drones caused fires and damage to civilian infrastructure.
